For your consideration is this authentic Ray Mine, Arizona Gem Silica (Gem Chrysocolla) gem carving by our own David Christensen. David Christensen is a wonderful lapidary and metalsmith with a prime affection and devotion for carving gems. He has been carving gems for over twelve years and has developed a masterful style for creating organic freeform carvings, represented mostly by motifs of feathers, leaves, flowers, and wheat stocks. David draws his inspiration from the farm where he grew up and his beautiful present-day backyard family garden. David's work is featured in the July 2018 edition of Rock and Gem Magazine and will be featured again in an upcoming issue slated for late 2020 or early 2021 publication. 35 carats 55mm x 20mm The back of the carving is not perfectly flat, you will need to take this into consideration for setting work.
